My favorite teacher's assistants, Roselyn and Reggie, came to pass out the "diplomas."
Then, we had a party to celebrate my birthday with my friends. We had a delicious cake (decorated by Daddy, because we all know Mommy can't draw), and I got some seriously awesome presents from my friends.
Since one birthday celebration a year isn't enough in this family, we had another party--a POOL party--at Aunt Jen and Uncle Rick's. Aunt Jen got a totally cool cake with my favorite dolphin, Winter, on it!
Best of all, I got to celebrate with my favorite cousin, Michael (and Richard and Charlie, of course).
We had an awesome time in Chicago. I got to spend almost every day with Nathan, from swimming in Aunt Jen's pool...
...to miniature golfing...
...to singing Lady Gaga!
Auntie Amy is really busy with roller derby these days, but we made the most of our time together. We took a day to visit the Shedd Aquarium, and got to see the whales do all kinds of tricks during the aquatic show.
(Well, this isn't the aquatic show, but it was the popcorn we ate beforehand! Yum!)
When it was time to say goodbye to all our friends and family in Chicago, we hit the road for St. Louis, where we had more family to see--and a new cousin to welcome into the fray! We also attended her baptism (where she was welcomed into God's fray). The trip from St. Louis to Connecticut was a long one, but I helped keep my brother entertained, ensuring a trip home that was as much fun as our visits!
