Daddy's Birthday Weekend

This weekend my dad's friends Joe & Shelly came over with Hudson. He tried eating Cheerios, which he didn't seem to like too much yet. My dad got to go surfing and skating with Joe while Mommy and Shelly hung out with me & Hudson.

On Sunday, Deirdre & Jeff hosted a party for Dad. A lot of our friends came. I helped put the empty bottles away. I'm starting to be a real big help around the house!

Even though the party was over by 6 pm, Monday morning came too fast for all of us! It was a morning worthy of a pirate shirt (Daddy didn't take a picture of the back so you don't get the full effect...)

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Brrr! It's getting cold outside! Now that the weather's getting cooler, the night breeze has really been helping me sleep at night. I've even started sleeping in until 6:15 most mornings! Don't you just love it when you can start snuggling with your favorite hand-knit blankets?

A Tent of My Own

Thanks to Mimi & Poppi, I now have a tent of my very own! So far my favorite baby doll has slept in it more than me, but I like playing in it a lot.

I also got to go swimming at our friends' Karen & Steve's today...I know it's hard to tell, but I can back up and get into the pool all by myself. It's the same as when I go down stairs, only way more fun! Karen and Steve have a giant spider raft for the pool that was really fun to play on.

The water was pretty cold, but still warmer than the ocean was last weekend! I didn't mind a bit.

Catching Up

My Dad has been reminding me that I have yet to share my new favorite babysitter with everyone (only because she has some really cool toys at her house--like the popcorn lawnmower and vacuum cleaner!)

This is Chrissy, who is lots of fun. Most of the time I eat at the big kids' table, but lately I have sort of been enjoying being taken care of.

I like to feed myself most of the time, but hey, if you can get someone to do it for you, why not?

I also spent a great day in New York City (Queens, actually) when Vic and Paula were in town. We went to a really cool outdoor dance party called Warm Up.

There were shallow wading pools to play in, and lots of funky gravel to throw around!

I had fun looking at the art in the museum, too--but I'll be honest, I didn't really understand a lot of it. How is looking at yourself in a rotating mirror on the ceiling art? I dunno...but see if you can find me!

Tropical Storm Hanna

Hi all, I'm reporting from Bradley Beach on Tropical Storm Hanna. I've had a couple of busy weeks what with Mom & Dad going back to work and me off to daycare to meet new kids my age and hang out with Chrissy, my babysitter. More on that later this week--first I have to tell you that Tropical Storm Hanna brought some really fun weather to the east coast this weekend!

My dad and I headed down to the beach to see what the storm was doing to the surf. It was way too windy to go in the water, but by Sunday there were some really big waves for my Dad & his friend John to ride.

John let me practice my "hang ten" on his surfboard, but he said I had to wait until next year to actually try it in the water.

No matter, I had fun playing in the shore break. The water's really warm this time of year, and the sand was perfect for bare feet!
